Advances in sciences, such as genetic research, bioengineering, biotechnology, enabled to create more drugs, and therefore more opportunities for pharmacists. But statistics indicate the country is experiencing a shortage of qualified pharmacists. Recognizing the expected career growth rate for pharmacists, GIET school of Pharmacy was established in 2004 with a view to fulfill the essential pharmaceutical knowledge skills for the people residing especially in AP coastal ares. GIET equips the students not only work at the corner drugstore but also venturing into researching new medications for drug companies or monitoring drug therapy at hospitals, nursing homes, and health institutions , etc. Highly experienced and qualified faculty members are assets to the Pharmacy School at GIET.
